President's Message

OAMR President Angie Lanter, MMC

Welcome to the Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders’ (OAMR) Website!

OAMR was established in 1983, and we currently have 236 active members throughout the State of Oregon.  90 of our members have attained their Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation, and 41 of those members have achieved their Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) designation.

Our Mission is “to enhance the quality of our office and to encourage dedication to our profession by providing educational experiences of the highest quality, as well as promote the professionalism of the office of Municipal Recorder”.

Our goals include providing numerous opportunities for professional development and education.  We provide programs and activities that assist our members with the welfare and positive advancement of municipal government.  We provide opportunities for networking, leadership, communication, training, and professional growth.

Please take some time to explore our website where you will find information on upcoming meetings, scholarship opportunities, training sessions, newsletters, and many other resources.  Becoming a member of OAMR gives you access to our listserv, allowing you to participate in discussions and gather valuable information that relates to your job.  Our mentoring programs will pair you with one of our many experienced members, to help anytime you have questions or need assistance.

On behalf of the OAMR Board I encourage you to join one of our many committees and take advantage of all the benefits and rewarding opportunities that your OAMR membership has to offer.

I wish you all the best for a safe, healthy, and extraordinary year!

Angie Lanter, MMC
2020-2021 OAMR President
