Donate to OAMR Scholarship Funds
Use the online form below to make a voluntary donation to OAMR scholarships using PayPal or credit card.
OAMR provides excellent opportunities for professional development and your generosity makes it possible for some of our other members to be able to attend training sessions. Some of our members would never get to attend educational classes without the help of scholarships. Here is what’s happening this year and how you can help us reach this goal.
All proceeds from our fundraising events go to the OAMR Scholarship Fund, which can benefit each of you and your cities. Every year, numerous scholarships are awarded - maybe you have been the recipient of one of them. Even if you can’t attend the Mid-YearAcademy or the Annual Conference, you can still donate items. Just contact Special Projects Fundraising Chair Nicole Morris via email or your Region Director to make arrangements to get your items picked up.
Please fill out a Donation Slip with any item you have to donate and submit it with your item(s). These are used to provide you with a tax deductible receipt.

Community Outreach Project
A few years ago OAMR started promoting a community outreach project for a charitable organization in the City hosting our conference. This year Samaritan House in Newport will be the recipient. Samaritan House is a transitional housing program for families experiencing homelessness. The apartment complex facility serves 10 families at a time in a 10-month residency program focusing on nurturing family dynamics, financial literacy and long-term housing stability. Each family meets weekly with a case manager who guides them through a client-centered, strengths-based approach. Every family is different and special, and every family can be successful. By the time each family graduates, they will have saved a small "nest egg" with which to secure their own independent housing.
Samaritan House furnishes apartments with basic furniture and household items. Current material needs are: twin size bedding (new), bath towels (new), pillows (new) and paper products like paper towels and toilet paper. Financial donations made to Samaritan House are 100% tax deductible; 501 (c) 3 organization.
I know this year is going to be amazing!
