ABOUT THE JOB:
The Deputy City Recorder coordinates the process of distributing
documents for City Council meetings, ensures the City complies with
public meeting and public records laws, administers City elections in
coordination with the City Elections Officer, and acts as the City
Recorder in her absence.

CITY OF EAGLE POINT
City Recorder / Executive Assistant
SALARY RANGE:
$4,082 - $4,732 per month DOQ

ABOUT THE JOB: Seeking
a skilled confidential/exempt employee to serve in an administrative
support position under the direction of the City Administrator. The
position acts as ex-officio clerk of the City Council, responsible for
recording council, commission, and committee meetings and preparing
minutes, maintains the official records of the city including council,
commission, and committee actions and recommendations. Other major
duties include: Index and file official city documents, contracts,
resolutions and ordinances. Develop and maintain effective central
filing system and city archives system. Assist in the preparation of
ordinances, resolutions, and agenda statements. Acts as Elections
Officer for the city. Acts as Executive Assistant for the City
Administrator providing secretarial, scheduling and other related duties
as required. Maintains records with regard to recruitment, retention,
labor contracts and training programs, as well as grants administration
and project research. The successful candidate will be a self-starter,
highly motivated and organized with excellent interpersonal,
communication and writing skills and will be team oriented with the
ability to work with individuals and groups to achieve consensus, be
capable of operating in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment while
achieving positive results, and be a positive thinker. Word processing
and spreadsheet skills are a must with desirable knowledge in Power
Point presentation, Access database program, and Laserfiche. This
position requires attendance at council and some commission meetings
which are held at night. Must be a high school graduate with a minimum
of five years demonstrated progressive experience as a City Recorder,
Executive Assistant or related field. Prefer a college degree in
Business, Public Management or related field as well as Certified
Municipal Clerk certification.
